Часто задаваемые вопросы

    • BattleForge is a next-gen real time strategy game, in which you fight epic battles against evil along with your friends. What makes BattleForge special is that you can assemble your army yourself: the units, buildings and spells in BattleForge are represented by collectible cards that you can trade with other players.
    • BattleForge is developed by EA Phenomic. The studio was founded by Volker Wertich, father of the classic "The Settlers" and the SpellForce series. Phenomic has been an EA studio since August 2006.
    • In BattleForge, you build a deck of up to 20 cards from your virtual collection, which you then use for one battle in the game. This means that you can create your own, individual strategy for every single battle because the combination of cards is completely customisable.
    • In contrast to other MMOs, there will not be a subscription model – playing on the servers is free.

Bootstrapper.exe file.

    • You will receive 8 cards from each of the 4 powers of Frost, Shadow, Nature, and Fire:
Frost: Master Archers, Northguards, Defense Tower, Glacier Shell, Defender, Tremor, Shield Building, Tempest
Shadow: Nightcrawler, Ripper, Stone of Torment, Unholy Power, Mutating Frenzy, Shadow Insect, Rifle Cultitst, Unholy Hero.
Nature: Windweaver, Werebeasts, Surge of Light, Primal Defender, Swamp Drake, Drones, Giant Wyrm, Regrowth.
Fire: Fire Stalker, Firebomb, Lava Field, Magma Hurler, Magma Spores, Emberstrike, Fire Sphere, Rageclaws.
    • You can still purchase the BattleForge Box, but now it effectively functions as a point box. You can redeem the code on the box in the in-game market to receive 3000 BattleForge Points and the 64 cards of the four starter decks.

    • Yes! The codes are stackable. This means that each time you enter a code from a BattleForge Box, you receive not only the 3000 points, but you also receive the 64 cards from the starter decks in your virtual collection.
    • The recommended retail price is 30 Euros.
    • The BattleForge Point Box containing 2000 + 250 BattleForge Points and poster remains unchanged. As before, it is available in retail shops.

    • New content will be added to the game regularly. The first content update was already added to the game, the Renegade campaign.
    • In the e-zine, you can find a collection of all the interesting aspects of the game in one single PDF document. A very nice read! You can download it here.
    • Sure!
If you’re new the World Of Nyn, we recommend to download the BattleForge manual, and Richard Hagon’s beginner articles are also worth reading. Check out the Card Overview as well.
You’re not playing BattleForge yet? Download the demo now!

    • No. Since your virtual card collection is saved online, an internet connection is required.
    • You can play BattleForge in co-op PvE mode, as well as against other players in PvP mode.
    • Yes. The difficulty determines the reward you get for beating a map - the more difficult the map, the better the reward, of course.
    • This is handled by a loot procedure known from MMOs ("need and greed"). If a team can't come to terms, the rewards are distributed randomly.
    • Yes, but they are selected from a certain pool. This pool varies depending on the map and the difficulty setting.
    • There are maps for one, two, four and twelve players. You can try a map with a smaller team, but that will make it harder to beat, of course.
    • It’s almost impossible to make Fog of War cheat proof. BattleForge offers other possibilities to surprise your opponent. Because of the customizable decks, your opponent never knows what’s coming. The spawning system keeps the tempo very high.
    • This mainly depends on the number of players. A large 12-player map can take up to one hour, while a single-player map can usually be beat in half an hour.
    • Naturally, good micromanagement can't hurt. But since BattleForge has no base-building and resource management is kept simple, micromanagement is less important than in other real time strategy games.
    • Basically, there are BattleForge Points and Gold. BattleForge Points can be bought with real money on this website or at retail (not in all territories), or can be obtained by trading cards in the ingame auction hall. Gold is the reward for completing scenarios successfully; you can’t buy it with real money. Gold can also be found in Gold Chests in scenarios. You need Gold to upgrade your cards.
    • Renegade, the new live campaign of BattleForge takes you away from the epic struggles of the noble Lyrish humans against the Twilight. We travel far south, into the Wastelands.
There we will follow the adventures of the white Juggernaut Mo, a monster with a dry wit and a heart as big as his appetite. He searches for his only friend, the savage orc Twinaxe, while his arch enemy, the vicious Captain Blight hunts him across the Wastelands, obsessed with taking down the White Juggernaut. Along their adventure and battle, they come across the trail of the greatest treasure ever known, the stolen treasure horde of the giants.
Check out the Renegade campaign microsite for additional information.
    • Yes, you can build and save as many decks as you like from the available cards.
    • There are 200 cards at release. More cards will be added in the game later.
    • There are four powers, each have their unique strengths. Fire is very strong on the offensive, while Frost is very strong in a defensive posture. Shadow can be risky, but very powerful if used well. Nature has excellent support and healing capabilities.
    • Yes, we distinguish between common, uncommon, rare and ultra-rare cards.
    • Yes, definitely! You can customize your deck as you wish – with only one power, several or all of them. The choice is yours alone!
    • The cards represent your units, buildings and spells ("Godspells").
    • Really simple – you select the icon for a card in the actions menu at the bottom of the screen. Then you click on the place on the map where you want to place the unit, building or spell.
    • You can play cards anywhere in proximity to a ground unit or structure that is already on the map. Note that you cannot play a card based on the proximity of a flying unit.
    • Two things: First, you need sufficient resources. You get those by conquering power generators. Second, you need monuments – the more monuments you control, the better the cards you can play. Power generators and monuments are placed at strategically important places on the map.
    • When conquering a monument, you can choose which of the four powers you want to assign to it. The more monuments of one power you control, the better the cards you can play. You can only play cards belonging to any given power if you control a corresponding monument. So if you only control a Fire monument on the map, you can only play out Fire cards.
    • No, only under the following conditions: at least one of your units or buildings has to be close. The area also has to be clear of enemy units. In addition, you need a small amount of energy to take over a monument or power generator.
    • Generally yes, with some exceptions. Buildings also have a short construction phase before becoming active.
    • No, as each card has a certain number of charges. This only applies to the current map, of course. After ending a mission, the card will be completely recharged.
    • In BattleForge, there are no production buildings; only military and functional buildings. Examples are defensive towers, teleporters or buildings with auras healing nearby units or increasing their damage level.
    • There is an in-game marketplace where you can trade cards with other players. Additionally, you can buy cards in booster packs directly in the game.
    • You can open Tomes right away. However you are not able use the cards in Tome mode anymore.
    • Yes. You can either swap them with other players or use them to improve the original card with a charge upgrade, so you can play it out more often than originally possible.
    • No. There are only virtual cards in BattleForge.
    • Yes, there are upgrades you can get as rewards. These upgrades cannot be traded. If you combine an upgrade with one of the cards in your virtual deck, that card also can no longer be traded.
    • Yes, that will be possible.
    • There are different upgrade levels, which can improve the basic values of the card, for example, such as damage or hit points of a unit. However, there are also special upgrades that add a special ability to the cards.
    • Special abilities are exceptional strengths of your cards that require a certain cooldown time before they can be used again.
    • When a card was put on the watch list it means that we are currently investigating this card. The values on the cards might change in one of the next patches, but this is not necessarily the case. It only means we are currently looking into this card, and the balance of that card could possibly change soon. A card might be taken from the watch list at any time without any changes. When a card is being changed, this is communicated through the patch notes.
    • There are different ways to trade/swap cards. First, there is an auction hall in the game, where you can bid for or auction off cards. It is also be possible to swap directly with other players. Additionally, you can use the in-game mail system to send cards attached to messages.
    • Yes, that is possible.
    • BattleForge points are the currency of BattleForge. You can use them to buy Booster Packs or bid on cards in the auction house.
    • You can get BattleForge points either by selling cards at the in-game market, or purchase them online, for example, from the BattleForge website or the EA Store. Optionally there will be a BattleForge Point Box available in retail. This costs 19.99€ and includes 2000 BattleForge points. You can purchase BattleForge points in smaller denomination online (500, 1000, or 2000 BattleForge Points).
    • The eight cards in the Booster Pack are made up of five common, two uncommon, and one rare or ultra-rare.
    • Ultra-rares drop in every sixth Booster Pack.
    • You can buy booster packs at the in-game marketplace.
    • A Booster Pack costs 250 BattleForge points.
    • No, since you can only have 20 cards in your deck, no matter how many cards you have in your virtual collection. A high number of cards allows for a greater variety in building your deck, but that does not make you a better player.
    • The game is running on a completely new engine that was built for BattleForge.
      • Windows XP/Vista
      • DVD-Drive (not needed if you purchase the game as a digital download)
      • Internet connection: 512 kb (DSL oder Cable)
      • CPU: 1,8GHz AMD64 or Intel Core (or comparable)
      • 512 MB (XP), 1 GB (Vista)
      • Graphics card with 128 MB, NVidia GeForce 6000-Series or better, ATI Radeon 9500 or better
      • Minimum 10 GB hard drive space for Installation
      • Display: minimum 1024x768
