Tournament Tales
Tournaments, the bread and butter of competitive play.
There has always been a strong competitive streak to the BattleForge community. There are quite a few players who would consider themselves to be the ultimate Skylord. Sure there are hoards of players who can talk the talk, but how many of them can actually walk the walk? Well that’s were Tournaments come in. They pit the best (and sometimes not so best :P) BattleForge players in the World against each other , giving all players an equal opportunity to show off their prowess and prove to their peers that they are without a shadow of a doubt, the best BattleForge player ( or team ) in the World.
Let’s begin with some of the events which have recently happened or are already underway, there are plenty of interesting replays to be had from them!
Official Tournament
The Official Tournament, which was a 2v2 affair, has just recently drawn to a close. There were a number of extremely interesting matchups which resulted in a number of extremely entertaining replays. In the end it came down to a match between one team consisting of Desatr and TulDuru, and another consisting of Stoxx and Reloadedlamb. It was a hard-fought match by both teams, but Stoxx and Reloadedlamb just had that little bit extra to come out on top.
The replays from the final can be downloaded here. You can download replays from earlier matches in the Tournament here and here.
BattleForge World Cup

The next big competitive event we’re taking a look at is the BattleForge World Cup which is being run by the Community. The amount of organisation that has gone into this tournament is phenomenal; they players running it are doing a credit to themselves, a special shout out to “Offspringfan” who has put a monumental amount of effort! As can be gleaned from the name, this tournament has taken it’s queue from the World Cup, there are top BattleForge players from around the World involved in this.

Wurlex’s No Holds Barred Tournament

Yani’s No Limits Tournament #2
