For those of you that are not familiar with it, Renegade introduces 120 new cards, 2 new “Dual Orb” Factions, Affinities and Randomly Generated maps as well as many balancing changes and gameplay fixes. These additions greatly increase the level of depth and replay value afforded to you by the game.

The launch of Renegade has been a resounding success with multitudes of new players joining the game and the BattleForge community as a whole. We broke the forum record for simultaneous users online on launch day and new user sign-ups skyrocketed too. Launch day was more than a little eventful; after the servers were taken offline in order to be patched, they launched roughly on time, a little later than hoped for, but it was a matter of minutes rather than hours. Later that night, a networking error unrelated to the Renegade launch caused the servers to be taken down for a few hours, but the crew at Phenomic worked diligently into the wee hours of the morning to get the servers back online so that everyone could continue bask in the glory of the new Renegade Features.

With the release of Renegade, the long awaited identity of the Renegade Promotional card was finally revealed. As many had speculated the Promotional card did indeed turn out to be one of the Legendary cards that were released during final days of the Beta phase, the Promotional card was “Ravenheart”. As a result of the servers being taken offline, there was a slight problem with the distribution of the card, in that not everyone that should have received it did. However, once again the Developers worked hard to rectify the situation and a new method of distribution was quickly found, ensuring that everyone that deserves the card will get it.

On to the non-Renegade related developments. As you will see from the blue posts links, we have restructured the forums to make it even easier for you guys to find exactly what you want to find. We have added Deck Building and Strategy forums to the PvE and PvP sections as well as Bug Submissions and Resolved Issues sections to the Technical Support Forums. While we are on the subject of the forums, we will be expanding the range of avatars from which you can choose and due to popular demand (and our community moderation team) we will finally be introducing Nature and Shadow avatars! A hot fix and a patch have also been released since Renegade went live, addressing a few little niggles that you guys wanted changed. Details can be found below.

Although some members of the team of BFCards.info is super busy preparing for some tests, they were able to implement all Renegade Cards, the official loot list and an update of the deck building tool! Go check out the updates!
