Community Watch 17/09

Wow has it really been almost three weeks since our last Community Watch? It really doesn’t seem like it has been that long at all. Oh well, I guess time really does fly when you are having fun.
Quite a lot has happened since the last Community Watch. We’ve had new additions to the forum and game updates almost on a weekly basis! So what’s new in the forum? Quite a bit actually, we have seen the addition of more Avatars and in particular the addition of the remaining two colors, Nature and Shadow, to the avatar card pool. You guys seem to be enjoying them so far, which is great to see and you never know, you might eventually see some more of your in-game friends coming to join the party.
We have also launched a Tournaments section on the forum as we have decided to raise the ante a little and give you a chance to show the competition what you got. It is a 1vs1 Tournament and it seems to be getting a lot of interest. If this Tournament takes off, we will run bigger and more varied Tournaments in the future. For the replay junkies among you, you should hang around the Tournament Forum as you will be hit with a deluge of replays after each round!
As mentioned already, there have been quite a few patches and hot fixes since the last community watch. One of the major patches included a new map – Empire. It’s a PvE map which you can play with either 2 or 4 players and draws the story of the Renegade Campaign to a stunning conclusion.
Moving on, we are proud to be able to say that BattleForge, as always, is leading the charge when it comes to innovation and introducing cutting edge technologies. BattleForge is the first game in the world to support Direct X 11! This will allow the game to run in a different manner, increasing overall performance.
You guys have been outdoing yourselves too recently. There have been a number of community initiatives started over the last few weeks, whether it be various games and quizzes, challenges and magazines, and even community VoIP servers, it’s easy to see that the BattleForge community is a generous and tight knit one. Keep up the good work guys and we encourage anyone that has not taken part in any of these to hop on and have a go, they really can add an extra level of enjoyment to the overall BattleForge experience.
